The severity of the risks identified on the hot-spot areas depends on the particular use of the local site. More research should be done in order to determine these toxic threats at the studied sites. A potential adverse health effects exist in this case. Moreover some of samples polluted with arsenic and cadmium showed exceeded hazard quotient (HQ). Several samples polluted with arsenic showed that adverse carcinogenic effects may occur in the long term. The most risky heavy metal on the hot-spot areas was arsenic followed by cadmium.
